Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how TeeJobs collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you visit our website, request a demo, or use the TeeJobs platform and mobile app.
Last updated: 3 November 2026
TeeJobs (“TeeJobs”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and any other privacy laws that apply to us.
1. Who this policy applies to
- Website visitors — people who browse teejobs.com.au or submit our “Request a Demo” form.
- Customers — organisations that use the TeeJobs platform, and their administrators and office staff.
- Workers — staff and contractors of our customers who use the TeeJobs mobile app or web app.
- Candidates and clients of our customers — people whose details our customers record in TeeJobs.
2. Our role when you use the platform
When an organisation uses TeeJobs to manage its workforce, that organisation decides what information is entered into the platform and how it is used. In that case we handle the information on behalf of our customer, under our agreement with them. If you are a worker, candidate or client of one of our customers, please contact that organisation first about how they handle your information. We will assist our customers to respond to privacy requests.
3. Information we collect
From website visitors and demo requests: your name, email address, company name, phone number (optional), industry, number of casual staff and any message you send us.
From customers and their users of the platform, depending on how the platform is configured, this may include:
- Contact and identity details — name, email, phone, address and date of birth.
- Employment details — roles, availability, leave, rosters, shifts, timesheets, hours, pay rates, payslips, reimbursements and kilometres claimed.
- Compliance documents — such as police checks, worker screening checks, licences, certifications, training records, visas and their expiry dates.
- Communications — messages sent through live chat and, where connected by the customer, synced email.
- Location information — see section 4.
- Information about our customers’ own clients that is needed to deliver services (for example, names, addresses and service requirements). This may include sensitive information such as health or disability information, which is collected and controlled by our customer.
- Technical information — device type, operating system, app version, IP address, log data and push-notification tokens.
4. Location data in the mobile app
The TeeJobs mobile app can use your device’s location to validate check-in and check-out against the shift location and, where enabled by your employer, to check you in and out automatically when you arrive at or leave a shift location. Location is used for attendance and timesheet purposes related to your shifts. You can control location permissions in your device settings; if you turn them off, location-based check-in features may not work and your employer may ask you to check in another way.
5. How we collect information
- Directly from you — when you fill in a form, use the platform or app, or contact us.
- From our customers — when they or their staff enter information into TeeJobs.
- From connected services that a customer chooses to integrate (such as JobAdder, Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB or Microsoft email).
- Automatically — through your use of the website, platform and app (for example, log data and device information).
6. Why we use your information
- To respond to demo requests and enquiries, and to provide information about TeeJobs.
- To provide, operate, support and improve the TeeJobs platform and mobile app.
- To deliver features such as rostering, Roster Health checks, Best Match, shift offers, push notifications, live chat, timesheets and payroll exports.
- To keep the service secure, prevent misuse and fix problems.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information. If we send you marketing emails, you can unsubscribe at any time.
7. Who we share information with
- Our customers — information in the platform is available to the organisation that controls it and the users they authorise.
- Service providers who help us run TeeJobs, such as cloud hosting (Microsoft Azure), email delivery, push-notification services (Apple and Google) and video hosting (Vimeo).
- Integrations that a customer chooses to connect.
- Authorities, where required or authorised by law.
Our service providers may store or process information in Australia or overseas. Where information is disclosed overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.
8. Cookies and website analytics
Our website uses only the technologies needed for it to work, such as loading fonts (from Google Fonts) and showing our product video. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The product video is provided by Vimeo and only loads when you press play. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies.
9. How we protect information
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These include encryption in transit, access controls and secure cloud hosting. No system is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe. If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will act in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
10. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above, or as required by law or our agreements with customers. Customers control how long information remains in their TeeJobs account.
11. Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you. If the information is held in a customer’s TeeJobs account, we may refer your request to that organisation. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
12. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time (usually within 30 days). If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the date it was last updated.
